What is Conservative Future?

Conservative Future is the movement for under 30s, including all members of the Conservative Party of this age. The organisation is all about involving young people in politics and addressing the issues that matter to them. CF helps set the agenda in the Party - influencing the politics of tomorrow. The organisation is a vital element of the Conservative Party’s path back to government. CF is currently the fastest growing political organisation in the country.

NKCF

Newcastle-under-Lyme and Keele University Conservative Future, or NKCF for short, was formed through Keele University in 2000.

We recently changed our name to NKCF, to broaden our appeal to include the whole of Newcastle-under-Lyme, something we all felt was an important step forward.

We are affiliated to Keele University Students Union, which gives us a say over what the Students Union does, and also gives us the ability to hold events at the union, and actively recruit members through the union. In addition it gives us greater opportunity to get articles published in the Student Newspaper – Concourse.

While our primary recruitment channel remains Keele University, we have recently begun to see a growth in “non-student” membership, which we see as huge progress, and are very happy to see the expansion of our membership from non-students, and student alike.

We hold 3 scheduled events through the year, in addition to smaller social events (The now infamous Vodkopoly!) and visits from guest speakers. The scheduled events are:  

●         Fresher’s Events in September.

●         The Christmas Party (December)

●         The Summer Ball

We are closely linked to the Newcastle Conservative Association, who we actively help at elections and throughout the year, We also hold two seats on their executive committee. This is as well as taking part in campaigns right across the UK.

Remember though, NKCF is more than just a political society . It's also about meeting like minded people and most of all having fun in the process!
